What's a One Traveller holiday like?
You may not have heard of One Traveller. It’s a small independent company specialising in solo travel for the over-50s that takes just a few thousand holidaymakers away every year. Yet it is one of the best holiday companies in this year’s Which? survey. It gained WRP status in two categories and several readers told us it’s ‘the best solo holiday company by far’.
Our results certainly bear this out – it’s top of the solo providers table, with an impressive 83% customer score, and the only company to offer five-star customer service.
Perhaps that’s because everyone on a One Traveller holiday gets a double room with no single supplements, or maybe its down to the tour managers, who, according to one reader, are ‘friendly, caring and helpful, and go out of their way to make sure you are looked after at all times’.
They’re certainly doing something right. One reader who had recently returned from a week in Germany’s Black Forest, told us: ‘Since this trip, I’ve booked another four holidays with them. I can’t wait.’
One Traveller’s refund, cancellation and surcharge policy
One Traveller is a Which? Recommended Provider (WRP), which means that, as well as being one of the most highly rated holiday firms in our survey, it guarantees to offer a full refund, or free changes, if the Foreign Office (FCDO) changes its advice about your destination.
It has also promised that in 2025, it won’t apply any additional surcharges to holidays that have already been booked.
