I've been analysing the Co-op's range of policies for years.

If you have a pre-existing medical condition, the Co-op may cover this on your travel insurance, but you'll need to declare it when you buy the policy.
The Co-op works with a medical screening company called Verisk to ask customers about their medical conditions.
It isn't a specialist provider for customers with pre-existing medical conditions, but this doesn't necessarily mean it won't be able to cover your medical condition at a reasonable price.

Co-op uses a company called World Travel Protection to handle medical claims and Gallagher Bassett to handle all other claims.
For medical emergencies abroad, call +44 (0)203 467 4125.
For other claims, call 0800 011 3721. You can also claim online.
Insurers will usually expect you to try recouping lost costs (such as deposits) elsewhere before claiming with them – for example, checking with the travel provider if you're entitled to a refund or can move a cancelled trip. However, you can still call the insurer to let them know if there's a chance you will need to claim.
