Formal Demand For Overdue Rent

 

I am writing to advise you that the tenant of the above property which you act for as guarantor currently has rent arrears outstanding in the sum of [£XX], which in accordance with the tenancy should have been paid on [DATE].

I therefore request, in accordance with your agreement which you signed, that either you or the tenant make payment of the above balance immediately.

Any unpaid arrears could result in court action being taken against both of you and the tenant, for which you may become liable for legal costs.

If a County Court Judgement or Decree is entered against you for the rent, this could affect your credit rating.

I hope that this can be avoided by you making the above payment in full.
