This dashboard displays data from our Consumer Insight tracker, a monthly poll with around 2,000 UK adults per month. Our tracker has been running since 2012.
Data on trust in business sectors is collected quarterly. Consumers are asked the extent to which they trust or don't trust different business sectors to act in their best interest. Explore the data at a headline level and among different demographic groups below.

To what extent do you trust or not trust the following sectors to act in your best interest? Trust a great deal, Trust quite a lot, Neither trust nor don't trust, Don’t trust very much, Don’t trust at all, Don’t know.
Net trust is calculated by adding the proportion of respondents that Trust a great deal or Trust quite a lot and subtracting the proportion of respondents that Don't trust very much or Don't trust at all.
