The Joie Trillo LX high-backed booster car seat is designed for children from four to 12 years old, or 15-36kg. It's an R44 seat that's been around for some time and is installed using the seat belt, while Isofit connectors help keep the seat in place when it isn't in use. The LX features 'head-to-hips side-impact protection' plus air pockets for 'extra protection'. Do they work? Our specially designed side-impact crash tests put them to the test. The overall safety score is made up of the results of crash testing (front crash; side crash) seat design, stability in the car and belt routing. Our crash tests go beyond the legal minimum requirements for UK car seat regulations and are conducted at higher speeds and forces than the regulations require. We feel our tests more accurately reflect what could happen in a real life crash.
