Heathrow’s airport parking is the most expensive in the UK. As of 2025, a week’s short-stay parking costs an eye-watering £661 at turn-up prices.
You shouldn’t ever pay those prices, given that you can save hundreds of pounds just by booking just two hours before. When we checked, the prebooked price at short-stay airport parking (two hours in advance) was £233. That’s a £428 saving.
Choosing the right airport car park will also save you money. As a rule of thumb short-stay parking is the most expensive, followed by meet and greet, mid stay and finally long stay. But choosing a trusted off-site provider can make the cost of parking at the airport much cheaper. Below we have compared the cost of different airport car parks at Heathrow terminal 2, 3, 4 and 5.
Whatever you do, don’t risk your car with a parking cowboy. We’ve investigated shady unregulated parking companies dumping cars in muddy fields and taking no responsibility for damage.
Always compare parking prices to make sure you get the cheapest deal. You can browse Heathrow parking options at Holiday Extras.

More passengers use Heathrow Terminal 5 than any other terminal in the UK. No wonder parking here is at a premium. Even booking six months in advance you’ll pay as much as £184 per week for the best spot in the short-stay car park.
Driverless pods will whizz you to the terminal in six minutes from pricey Pod Parking. But meet and greet is a better-value option for those who want the shortest transfer to the terminal. You can book a trusted service with Which? Recommended Provider APH.
However, if you’re prepared to take a bus to the terminal, Purple Parking’s Park and Ride is hands down the cheapest option. Find out how Purple Parking ranks in our survey of the best and worst offsite airport parking brands.
