Which? response to Martin Lewis deepfake scam ad on Facebook

Rocio Concha, Which? Director of Policy and Advocacy, said:
"Scam ads are already a huge problem on social media platforms and the sophistication of this deepfake scam targeting Facebook users highlights the added dangers posed by AI. Some of the biggest tech firms are not doing enough to protect their users and must be made legally responsible for preventing this content from appearing.
"The Online Safety Bill is desperately needed and the government must ensure it delivers meaningful protections for consumers against a flood of online fraud infiltrating the world’s biggest social media sites and search engines."
