Which? comments as DWP pays £209 million in missed state pension payments to retirees

Jenny Ross, Which? Money Editor, said:

“While it’s encouraging to see that more than £200 million worth of state pension underpayments have now been corrected by DWP, it’s clear that there is still urgent work needed to ensure that those still waiting receive the money they are owed as quickly as possible.

“With the cost of living putting households under increasing pressure this winter, a remedy to this situation can’t come soon enough for those pensioners that are already facing difficult financial decisions.”
