This dashboard displays data from our Sustainability Tracker, a yearly survey with around 2,000 UK adults a year, sampled and weighted to represent the UK population.

Driving habits

Since June 2022, we have asked UK adults whether they drive and have access to a vehicle. If they did say they had access to a vehicle, we collected what type of vehicle it was and how often they drive.

Since June 2022, we have asked drivers how often they use alternative transport options and what barriers stop them from using them more often.

If drivers said they did not own an electric vehicle we asked if they intend to buy one in the future and what would stop them buying one if they needed a new vehicle in the next 12 months.
