Hoover buys Baumatic appliance brand

Baumatic - which makes home appliances such as washing machines, tumble dryers and dishwashers - has been bought by Hoover.
The troubled company went into administration at the beginning of October.
Hoover's latest acquisition means it now owns several brands that offer laundry, cleaning and refrigeration appliances in the UK.

Faulty Baumatic appliances
Since announcing it was in administration, Baumatic has cancelled all servicing appointments and provisionally suspended its call-out service while it reviews its position.
The company had said it would update customers by 14 November at 2pm. But when we called to check it had the same recorded message 24 hours after this deadline.
If you have a faulty Baumatic product you may still have rights with the shop you bought it from, depending on when you bought it and the type of fault. For more advice see our guide to the Sale of Goods Act.
Will Hoover honour Baumatic warranties?
Hoover has yet to confirm whether it will honour existing Baumatic warranties - covering products sold before the company went into administration - when they take over the company.
These guarantees can vary. Some last for 12 months while others extend to five years for parts and labour.
