Child in a Cybex car seat

Cybex car seats can be confusing, as many have very similar names aside from a different letter. Here we give a rundown of the brand's most popular car seats, plus our full reviews to make sure you're picking the right seat for your child.

We've currently got 21 Cybex car seat reviews on our website (although some are versions of the same seat tested with and without an Isofix base).

Of those 21 reviews, 10 are Best Buys – that's 48% which is a good ratio for the brand. It's no surprise that Cybex was the Which? Baby & Child brand of the year in 2024.

Cloud T i-Size + Base T, £429

Cybex Cloud T i-Size

Newly released this year, the Cybex Cloud T is an infant carrier approved for use from birth up to around 15-18 months old (87cm).

We've tested it with the Cybex Base T, a rotating Isofix base that lets you turn the seat towards you. This makes it easier to click the seat on or off the base and get your child out of the car without straining your back.

Find out how this car seat did in our tests by reading the full Cybex Cloud T i-Size + Base T review. You can also read our review of the Cloud T i-Size (belted) to see how it fares when installed without the Isofix base.

Cloud Z2 i-Size + Base Z2, £460

Cybex Cloud Z2 i-Size

The follow-up model to the original Cloud Z, this car seat can swivel 180 degrees on the base, so you can turn it towards you to get the infant carrier clicked in, or have it forward-facing so you can attach a toddler car seat.

It's approved for use with babies measuring 45cm to 87cm, which is birth to around 15-18 months.

Head to our Cloud Z2 i-Size + Baze Z2 review to find out our thoughts on it.

Aton B2 i-Size + Base One, £234

Cybex aton B2 i-size

The Aton B2 has been tested with a different base and is the newer version of the Aton B range.

It's installed via a base but you can also strap it in using the vehicle's three-point seatbelt. The seat has a sun canopy which the manufacturer claims provides UPF50+ protection.

Read our review of the Aton B2 i-Size + Base One to find out if it scores well in our tests, which check for safety, ease of installation and comfort. We've also tested it without the base. Read the Cybex Aton B2 i-Size (belted) review.

Aton M i-Size + Base M, £260

This Cybex infant carrier, first launched in 2017, is approved for babies from 45-87cm (birth to 15 months).

It's installed into your car via an Isofix base or the vehicle's seatbelt, and the seat has a three-point harness to secure your child.

Find out how this infant carrier car seat fared in our crash tests, which go beyond the minimum legal regulations, by reading our review of the Cybex Aton M i-Size. You can also read our review of the Aton M i-Size (belted) to see how it fares when installed without the Isofix base.

Cybex i-Size baby to toddler car seats

Some car seats are classed as 'baby-to-toddler' seats, while others are 'toddler-to-child' seats. This will depend on the starting height or weight suitability of the seat.

If the seat can be used from birth or three months to around four years old, it's a baby-to-toddler seat. If it's approved from around a year, we call it a toddler-to-child seat.

Sirona G i-Size + Base G, £425

Cybex Sirona G iSize + Base G

The Cybex Sirona G i-Size + Base G is a baby-to-toddler car seat approved for use when your baby measures 61cm to 105cm, which is around one to four years.

It’s installed via an Isofix base with a support leg, which the seat clicks into. The car seat and base are separate parts and part of a modular system, which lets you click on the Cybex Cloud G i-Size infant carrier onto the same base.

Read our review of the Sirona G i-Size + Base G to find out how it scores.

Sirona Gi i-Size, £220

Cybex Sirona Gi i-Size car seat

The Cybex Sirona Gi i-Size is a toddler-to-child car seat approved for use when your baby measures 61cm to 105cm, which is around one to four years.

It’s installed via Isofix connectors and a support leg in approved cars. The seat has a swivel function, and it comes as one piece rather than as a modular set like the above model. This means it could feel quite heavy if you're moving it between cars regularly.

Read our review of the Cybex Sirona Gi i-Size to find out how it performs in our crash tests, as well as ease of use and comfort checks.

Sirona T i-Size + Base T, £480

Cybex Sirona T i-Size

Launched in 2023, the Sirona T is a reversible child car seat approved for children from birth up to 105cm in height (around four years old). Once again, it's an extended rearward-facing model and can be rotated on the base.

Will this baby-to-toddler car seat be simple to install and safe in a crash? Read our full review of the Sirona T i-Size to find out.

Sirona Z2 i-Size + Base Z2, £560

Cybex Sirona Z2 i-size

This baby-to-toddler car seat can detach from the base Z2, which is also compatible with the Cybex Cloud Z2 infant carrier. This means it's a modular system and can help you save money as you won't need to buy a second base when you move from the baby car seat to the toddler model.

The Sirona Z2 has a height-adjustable headrest, integrated side-impact protection, a removable newborn-inlay cushion and a magnetic belt holder to keep the harness straps out of the way when you're putting your child in the seat.

Read our review of the Sirona Z2 i-Size + Base Z2 to find out if it will protect your baby in a crash and be simple to install.

Pallas G i-Size, £220

Cybex Pallas G i-Size

This car seat is approved for children measuring 76-150cm tall, which is around 15 months to 12 years. This is an older range than the models above, and so it's considered a toddler-to-child seat.

It uses an impact shield rather than a harness for children up to 105cm tall. Once your child exceeds this height limit, you can strap them into the seat using the vehicle's seatbelt. Some children don't get on well with impact shields, so it's a good idea to try the seat in a shop and take your child with you to make sure they're happy when strapped in.

To find out if this toddler seat is safe and comfortable, read our Pallas G i-Size review.

Cybex i-Size child car seats

When talking about 'i-Size child car seats as an age group or stage of car seats, we mean seats suitable from when your child measures around 100cm in height (four years old). For older seats, approved to R44 regulations, this means group 2/3 seats.

Solution T i-Fix, £175

Cybex Solution T i-Fix

This child car seat is approved for children measuring 100-150cm tall, which is around aged four to 12 years.

It's available in a range of colours including black, grey, blue, white, pink and beige.

Read the Cybex Solution T i-Fix to find out if it's safe and easy to install.

What are the benefits of an extended rear-facing baby car seat?

Cybex multi-group car seats

For car seats approved to R129 regulations, these are often classified as i-Size baby-to-child seats. For older car seats, they would be classed as group 1/2/3 car seats. They cover a large age range, often from baby or toddlerhood right up until your child no longer needs to sit in a car seat.

Anoris T i-Size, £520

Cybex Anoris T i-Size

The Cybex Anoris T i-Size is a unique child car seat because it has an airbag stored in the impact shield, which is designed to protect your child in a crash. It's also the most popular multi-group Cybex car seat on the Which? website.

It's approved for children measuring 76-115cm tall, which is approximately 12 months to six years. However, as this is an R129-approved seat, we wouldn't recommend using the seat until your child is at least 15 months old (around 87cm tall), as it's forward-facing only.

Read our full review of the Anoris T i-Size car seat to find out more, and look out for our review of the Anoris T2 i-Size car seat, which we'll be publishing in May 2025.

Pallas M-Fix SL, £160

Cybex Pallas M-Fix SL

This is the third-most popular Cybex car seat review, which is impressive, as this group 1/2/3 car seat has been around since 2016.

When used as a group 1 toddler car seat, you use the impact shield and vehicle seatbelt to restrain your child. Then, when using the seat as a group 2/3 high-back booster, you fit it using the vehicle's three-point seatbelt. However, it does also have Isofix points to provide more stability.

Read our review of the Cybex Pallas M-Fix SL to find out how it performed in our tough crash tests.

Pallas S-Fix, £215

Cybex Pallas S-Fix

This child car seat covers groups 1/2/3, which is for children aged between nine months and 12 years. It weighs 10kg, which is on the heavy side, so bear that in mind if you regularly need to move this seat between cars.

It's installed using an impact shield (and the vehicle's seatbelt) for younger children or with the vehicle's seatbelt and Isofix connectors for those using it as a group 2/3 seat. The headrest has three adjustable positions and can recline.

See our review of the Cybex Pallas S-Fix to find out more.

Pallas 2-Fix, £216

Cybex Pallas 2-Fix

Incredibly, the 2-Fix was launched in 2011, but it's still available to buy from some retailers, including Amazon. It's a group 1/2/3 child car seat, which means it's approved to the older R44 regulations (which are still legal but running alongside the newer R129 regulations).

You can use it with children weighing 9-36kg, which is around nine months to 12 years, and it's forward-facing only. We'd always recommend keeping your child in a rearward-facing car seat for as long as possible, as it's the safest way to travel for children under four.

Read our review of the Cybex Pallas 2-Fix to find out how it scored in our crash tests, as well as for comfort and ease of installation.
