As our recent research has shown, the price of a UK holiday can quickly add up.

But you can save a quarter of the cost of a last-minute cottage trip, on everything from coastal getaways in Cornwall to rural retreats in Yorkshire and beyond, with one of the UK’s best holiday cottage providers.

Using the code, we were able to reduce the price of a two-night weekend stay in August in The Clinker cottage in Boscastle, Cornwall, from £758 to £568.50, saving £189.50

We also cut £389.75 off the price of a three-night stay in early August in Foreland Lighthouse Keepers' Cottage in Lynton, Devon (which can sleep up to 10 guests), lowering the price from £1559 to £1169.25.

And in Yorkshire, we managed to reduce the cost of a three-night stay in Abbey Stores, a one bedroom cottage described as ‘moments away’ from the famed Fountains Abbey in Ripon, Yorkshire. With the 25% discount, the price reduces from £688 to £516, saving £172

To qualify for the discount, you’ll just need to make sure your check-in date falls within the next 14 days and apply the last-minute special offer discount code at checkout. The offer is valid until 30 September 2026.

The discount applies on trips of up to 17 nights, and even for large groups. We tried the code to check for a maximum discount, but our research showed the 25% off code could even be used against bookings worth over £4,000.

For example, when we checked the cost of seven nights at Kingfisher Bunkhouse, Pembrokeshire, which sleeps 44 people, the discount code slashed the final price from £6,714 to £5,035.50, saving £1,678.50.

Likewise, the cost of booking 14 nights at Wembury Mill Cottage in Plymouth, Devon, cost £4,598 before the code, but once we entered it, the price to pay fell by £1,149.50 to £3,448.50.

Here’s how to take advantage of the deal with your next cottage booking.

Can I get free entry to National Trust sites during my stay?

Yes. Guests staying at a number of National Trust cottages are offered free entry to nearby National Trust sites as part of their stay (excluding car parks) – sometimes with ‘exclusive’ out-of-hours access times included. The National Trust says guests will receive details of how to get free access in booking confirmation emails, or key/directions documents.

The only exceptions are Wakehurst, St Michael’s Mount and Tatton Park, which are excluded from the offer.

You might need to book the property you’re interested in advance, so make sure to check the website before the day you’d like to visit.
