Asus ROG Ally

Asus ROG Ally handheld PC

We like: PC gaming on the go

Watch out for: Uses Windows 11, not its own operating system

It's easy to think of the ROG Ally as a souped-up Nintendo Switch, but it's actually more like a gaming laptop with joysticks attached.

This handheld PC from Asus has a 7-inch 120Hz FHD touchscreen, 512GB of storage and 16GB of Ram.

Best Nintendo Switch deal

Our pick: Nintendo Switch OLED (White)

Average price in the last six months: £303.93 Cheapest Price in the last six months: £226

Nintendo Switch OLED white

We like: Plenty of games for all ages

Watch out for: No extras like in other Switch deals

The Nintendo Switch OLED has long been a popular handheld console.

Following the release of the Switch 2, we're expecting to see some serious Nintendo discounts this Black Friday as the brand look to move old stock.

We've found more bundle deals on a regular Switch and a Switch Lite, too. Check out our guide on the best Nintendo Switch deals to learn more

Best TV gaming deal

LG OLED42C44LA

Average price in the past six months: £726.63  Lowest price in the past six months: £521

LG OLED42C44LA

We like: Our top pick for a TV deal this Black Friday

We don't like: Lacks some accessibility settings

This high-end 42-inch OLED TV has plenty of gaming features and a lot of other nice-to-haves. It has a 100/120Hz screen, plus Freesync and G-Sync built in. This will make gaming on an Xbox or PS5 look smoother and should reduce input lag when playing with a controller.

There are more features than just those for gaming: you'll get features like Dolby Vision, plus plenty of smart features to stream movies and TV without any additional hardware.

Read our LG OLED42C44LA review to see how it performed in our tough lab tests.

Best gaming monitor deal

Samsung Odyssey LS25BG400EUXXU

Average price in the past six months: £204.98 Cheapest price in the past six months: £129

Samsung Odyssey LS25BG400EUXXU Gaming Monitor

We like: Easy to assemble, plus gaming features

Watch out for: Ports and sockets can be awkward to access

If you're looking for a new monitor for your gaming PC, or don't want to spend hundreds of pounds on a TV, this Samsung monitor is a great option to consider.

It has a high refresh rate of 240Hz, which can make games seem smoother while playing. You'll need to make sure your console or PC can output more than 60 frames per second in order to see any differences, though. It's a 1080p FHD monitor, so devices such as a PS5 shouldn't have many issues reaching those higher frame rates.

Best Fire TV Stick gaming deal

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K streaming device

Average price in the past six months: £46.26 Lowest price in the past six months: £25.99

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K

We like: Xbox game streaming

Watch out for: Needs to be powered by an outlet

Amazon's 4k Fire Stick aims to bring top-quality streaming experiences to your home by connecting to wi-fi 6 and streaming in 4K Ultra HD.

One standout feature of this model is that it's the only streaming media player with the Xbox app, which means you can stream games through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and cloud gaming.

Will the Steam Deck be on sale this Black Friday?

There is a small chance it will be discounted. There have been times when you can get a small discount on the popular handheld PC, but those have been few and far between. Last year, it wasn't discounted for Black Friday.

While you can sometimes get them from retailers such as Amazon, it's not uncommon to find them selling for higher than RRP from a third-party seller. If you're after one, we'd recommend buying from Valve direct.

As of writing, the price for a Steam Deck LCD is still £349, with prices for the Steam Deck OLED at £479 (512GB model) and £569 (1TB model).

If you're after one, you can check out prices and availability from Steam.

Where can I find Black Friday deals on games?

There are several retailers that will have deals on games for every console over Black Friday. Below, we've broken down where you can easily find deals on games.

  • PC: Steam will undoubtedly have the biggest sale for PC gamers, as its Autumn Sale tends to kick off around American Thanksgiving (27 November) and Black Friday.
  • Xbox: You can check out current deals from the Microsoft Store or our page on the best Xbox deals, where we keep track of our picks on game deals.
  • PlayStation 5: Sony has already launched some Black Friday game deals through the PlayStation Store, but we also keep track of our game deal picks on our best PlayStation deals page.
  • Nintendo Switch: Like other console manufacturers, Nintendo has lots of games on sale through the Nintendo eShop – including some bargains on Nintendo exclusives that don't typically go on sale. We also cover our top game deals on our round-up of the best Nintendo Switch deals.

You won't find many deals yet, but these are our predictions for PS5, Xbox, and Switch games that could see discounts:
